Things Forrester wants you to know about your wedding shoot.
Think outside the box!!!
First and foremost ensure that you both fully discuss the wedding shoot with your photographer as you currently envision it. This helps the photographer to identify early and then avoid challenging shooting situations that may not be feasible. So, keep notes of the particular scenes or poses that you envision being taken on your wedding day so that when we meet, we can carefully discuss them all.
More often than not good photos / videos are obtained by planning not by chance. Remember, wedding photos / videos do not always have to look traditional. You can review the slide-show below (clicking on any photo within it will give you the enlarged version) and the entire photo gallery on our website and on other photographer's websites for shoot ideas.
You will want to be very happy wirth all of the photos and videos that you commision us to do so this research will help you to achieve that goal.
Lighting! Lighting! Lighting!
For those photos and videos taken on beach & shoreline locations in Negril, morning hours are best, where the all important lighting is concerned!
Morning gives a 70% or better chance of having them capture a natural sunlit sparkle and a blue sea in the background. There is also the possibility of shadows under the eyelids and chin which can be minimized when we use a fill flash.
A beach wedding in the afternoon hours offers less than a 50% chance of having a good sunset, a 50% chance of rain, and maybe losing the natural light sooner than anticipated.
Afternoons also increase the possibility of shooting into heavy backlight which will make people look dark (even when using a flash). Video shooting in heavy backlight is worse than shooting still photos - the details of the background and clothing details must be sacrificed to get the necessary exposure on people's faces.
Depending on the time of year and time of day, lighting conditions can be improved by angling the shots towards the beach as opposed to out to sea. This however may result in uninvited guests showing up in the background.
With a well timed sunset, and the appropriate amount of flash, your photos can be absolutely breathtaking!
Brides please remember that when marching up the aisle, walk slowly and try not to look down. This guarantees more opportunities of us getting good shots with your eyes open. Remember when you are exchanging your vows always look at each other and not the marriage officer. This will give your photos / video a more romantic look and will also lessen the chance of shooting the back of your heads.
While putting on rings show the bling!
Brides, angle your hands in a way that the photographer/videographer can get a clean shot of them in every take.
Show off that “rock” while signing the register (even when others are signing) - try to ensure that the hand with the ring is always on the table and not in your lap. Yes, it’s about the bling!!!
These will be the only wedding photographs and videos you ever have taken, so please help us make them really right for you!
A kissing shot looks much better when the couple’s faces can be seen from the camera's side and the scene is planned like this sunset shot below.
We know grooms, that you just want to swoop in and kiss your beautiful bride, but remember that in diving in for that kiss, you can block the view of your bride’s face and end up showing the back of your head to the camera!
Also, it is always good once the ceremony ends for the couple to keep looking at each other and / or making conversation with each other while walking down the aisle towards or away from the video camera. This really enhances your wedding video!
Stand close for all shots!
If there is no designated podium for guest giving toasts they should be asked to stand close to the people they are toasting. This makes practical sense in capturing a shot that tells the story. Remember that your wedding will be shot with one video camera (unless other arrangements are made), so strategic staging will give you more value for your money.
Don’t worry! If a goof-up inadvertently occurs – we can always do a another take later!

Owners, Managers and Patrons of All of Negril's Enterprises
All encyclopedias rely upon experts to provide them with authoritative and true articles about their subjects and this video encyclopedia is no exception. However, the articles that we use here are in photo and video form, so the experts whom we must rely upon to produce them are Negril's enterprise owners, managers and their patrons. After all, who is better quailfied to provide good visual information than these folks who have valid, first-hand knowledge about each of Negril's resorts, restaurants, clubs, shops, road stands, attractions and activities?
Therefore, we here request Negril's enterprise owners to record for us a brief digital video welcoming people to their enterprise and describing its attributes (preferably with them and some of their staff and / or their patrons in it). This will humanize their enterprise to the public by being a very friendly and inviting way of encouraging people to come to Negril for their vacations.
Other Videos and Photos
Enterprise owners (and their patrons) may also provide us with separate additional videos of some of the unique, interesting things that occur within their enterprises.
